Around 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland were left lacking electricity on the start of the week after powerful weather events swept through the state, bringing wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Residents witnessed large ice chunks measuring up to 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that different parts across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.

State Emergency Services handled 598 emergency reports across the state, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

During the peak on the previous day, in excess of twenty-eight thousand electricity consumers in the state were experiencing outages.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were expected to linger along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity expected across different parts of both areas.

Medical authorities warned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
